How to hang a sign with a forklift
One morning Tom and I took it upon ourselves to hang a sign out front of his shop here in Austin. The sign is made of a sandwich of aluminum, and polycarbonate, and is supported by L channel aluminum around the border of the sign.
Tom’s idea was beautiful, we would throw some rope over the existing sign, and raise the new sign into place, which would rest right below the existing. We then clamped the sign in place with some wood and aligned it carefully.
Luckily for us, Tom has one of the most handsome collection of ladders on this side of the Mississippi, we used his medium trestle ladder (14’!) to put the finishing touches on the whole thing.
